Flavorful Bierbratwurst Summer BBQ Recipe



Ingredients:

  • 6 German Sausage Company Beer Bratwursts
  • 2 bottles of Bavarian Lager
  • 1 large yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon German Spicy Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 6 bratwurst buns
  • 1/4 cup sauerkraut
  • 1/4 cup diced pickles
  • 1 tablespoon caraway seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Topping:

  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced red onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon Sweet Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Simmer Bratwursts:

    • Sauté onions and garlic in butter until translucent. Add bratwursts, beer, spicy mustard, caraway seeds, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  2. Grill Bratwursts:

    • Preheat grill to medium-high. Grill bratwursts for 5-7 minutes per side until browned.
  3. Prepare Topping:

    • Mix tomatoes, red onions, parsley, sweet mustard, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Assemble:

    • Toast buns on the grill. Place bratwursts in buns, top with sauerkraut, diced pickles, and tomato-onion mixture.
  5. Serve:

    • Enjoy with a side of potato salad or grilled corn and a cold Bavarian Lager.
